ALL FEATURES

Drop into Drive. Sorted automatically.

Files placed directly in your Google Drive Unclassified folder can enter your Sortify workflow automatically.

How it works

Files placed directly in your Google Drive Unclassified folder can enter your Sortify workflow automatically.

  1. Connect Google Drive with full access and create a folder structure.
  2. Enable Automatic classification in Storage.
  3. Put supported files directly in Unclassified, then review the results in Documents.

What the Drive folder scans

Automation checks supported files placed directly in the Google Drive Unclassified folder. It does not scan subfolders. Only the workspace owner can change the setting, and enabling it requires full Drive access and a folder structure.

When enabled, existing files in Unclassified can also be processed and use your plan’s classification allowance. Checks run in the background, usually within a few minutes. Turning the setting off stops future checks, while queued files may still finish.

Latest skipped files explains duplicates, damaged or password-protected PDFs, unsupported types, and reached limits. Fix the reported cause and check the document status before submitting a file again.

What is storage?

Storage is where your workspace’s documents are kept. Folder structure describes where they belong within that storage, while File naming determines their names.

Choose your storage

Do not assume changing the selected provider moves existing documents between services.

  • AI Sortify Cloud: workspace documents are stored in AI Sortify Cloud. You do not need a Google Drive connection for this storage option.
  • Google Drive: connect your Google account and grant the access needed for the document actions you use.
  • Check the selected provider and status on this page before uploading or troubleshooting.

Set up Google Drive

  • Use the connection action on the Storage page.
  • Choose the intended Google account and review Google’s permission request.
  • Return to AI Sortify and check the connection and upload-access status.
  • Review your workspace folder and folder structure. Use the available folder action to open its location.

Connection and permissions are different

A connected Google account does not necessarily have every permission a feature needs. Limited access and full access allow different actions. Read the separate permissions guide before changing access. A selected folder is not a Google-enforced permission boundary.

If something is not working

  • Not connected: connect the intended account.
  • Missing access or expired connection: use the repair or reconnect action shown on the page.
  • Cannot open a file: check whether the account still has access to that file.
  • Processing is blocked: read the document or email result; storage access and plan limits can cause different issues.
  • After resolving the issue, check the status again and use Retry where offered.

Stay in control

Review the account and access level before changing them. Disconnecting a service is different from deleting documents. Read each action’s explanation before confirming a disconnect, permission change, or deletion.
